Music Magazine Analysis - Kerrang

Typical Features
There aren’t many words compared to other magazines. Most pictures in the magazine are pictures of men singing and screaming on stage. There are many advertisements selling rock-style T-shirts. Men are mostly shown but if there are women, they are shown as tall, lean and sexy.
Genre conventions:
The type of genre for this magazine is rock. The colors of the magazine are really eye catching, as there is a good contrast between the background and the words, whereas the background is dark and the words are matched with it. The fonts of the text are also big and bold.
Target audience:
The target audience for Kerrang is mainly younger people, like teenagers, aged 13-20. They mainly apply to males, but it can be for any person who likes punk rock. 
Representation:
This magazine is representing rock bands and singers, mostly men. They have crazy and wild hair, and some of them also have long hair. They have lots of tattoos on their arms as well as piercings. They also have hats and sunglasses, and they are represented in groups or individuals.
